Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Full-Time Closer to add to our Specialty Programs Team

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Thorough knowledge of general administrative and clerical systems
  • At least 3 years of prior closing experience or loan related positions
  • Good verbal and public relations skills
  • Strong typing abilities
  • Basic math skills
  • MS Office Suite
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Analytical ability
  • Self-Starter

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with business purpose transactions and entity vesting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and disclose Initial and Final Closing Disclosures
  • Knowledgeable of Conventional, TPO and Non-QM guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Prepare and release Loan Documents to escrow or title company.
  • Review and balance closing disclosures and advise of corrections as needed.
  • Review Lock Confirmation and Underwriter Approval to ensure loan is closed in accordance to underwriting, state and federal guidelines.
  • Act as correspondent between title company, operations team and loan officer
  • Review Title Policy, Tax Certs, Hazard Insurance and Surveys for accuracy
  • Data entry for all additional items needed to complete closing documents and closing instructions to settlement agent.
  • Maintain communications with attorneys for closing document quality and accuracy.
  • Prioritize assignments and schedule workload to meet critical deadlines and have the ability to manage a high volume of loan activity with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Expected to help with post-closing functions as needed.
