About The Position

The Mortgage Intern is a part of Gold Star’s cross training program. The purpose of the program is to educate new hires on the operational side of the mortgage lending industry. This program will provide a variety of learning experiences across multiple departments within our corporate sales office. Interns will gain a foundational understanding of internal processes and support functions through real-time learning experiences across multiple corporate sales departments and make sales calls.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in process improvement or customer service
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Dependable and proactive in meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of the mortgage loan process and lending industry guidelines
• Make calls and connections with our customer base
• Provide timely, professional customer service support via phone and email
• Monitor and manage user credentials and access levels for internal systems and web
• Learn and adhere to Gold Star’s policies, procedures, and industry’s best practices
• Participate in department cross-training and job shadowing opportunities
• Support various departments by assisting with overflow tasks and special projects
• Complete additional duties as assigned
