About The Position

This role is responsible for the servicing of all loans secured by consumer real estate. The position is responsible for collection of early-stage delinquent loans secured by consumer real estate and for gathering documents and providing them for all internal as well as external audits and exams related to the servicing unit. Additionally, the position is responsible for processing SCRA requests on all consumer and mortgage loans.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the financial industry with real estate loans and customer service focus.
  • Technical know-how and broad understanding of mortgages.
  • Minimum 2 years of college education or the equivalent level of professional training or work experience.
  • Working knowledge of consumer mortgages and their related documents and processing.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to consumer, mortgage, SCRA regulations.
  • 2+ years of experience in Early-stage collections.
  • Ensure that all collection activity complies with and is conducted with Federal, State and Local guidelines (FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA and UDAAP).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain full responsibility for the review and work of delinquent loan secured by real estate, to determine appropriate collection actions.
  • Attempt to contact early-stage delinquent account holders by phone and letters.
  • Provide detailed updates and action plans for loan status' to management and the real estate servicing group.
  • Fulfill requests for documents on loans secured by real estate from internal and external sources.
  • Handle e-mails and calls that are directed to Real Estate Servicing or their group e-mail by resolving the requests as needed and provide appropriate responses to ensure that members are receiving excellent service.
  • Research on member inquiries for payment processing, escrows and insurance review.
  • Responsible for daily transactions that include payment processing, creation of wires and loan level transactions.
  • Offer approved remedies, if appropriate, to bring accounts to a current status with an emphasis on account resolution.
  • Handle SCRA requests on all consumer and mortgage loans.
  • Seek to improve efficiency by initiating and sharing ideas for process and quality improvements.
  • Contribute and participate in developing and revising processes and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
