The Mortgage Banker position is included in a workplace model that allows remote work. As a Mortgage Banker, essential responsibilities include: Develop and maintain internal and external relationships including realtors, brokers, builders and other centers of influence. Originate conventional, FHA, and VA mortgage loans as needed. Maintains pipeline to support activities including meeting production goals for both booked business and referrals. Works closely with loan processors and underwriters to expedite transactions. Provides constructive, consultative feedback and makes recommendations as a trusted advisor to clients and prospects. Cross sells and refers products and services identifying opportunities for products and services offered by the entire organization. Participates in bank promotions and will partner with Branch Staff to promote and develop a full-service financial services relationship for customers. Practices and Lives STAR’s Sales and Customer Service Culture every day. Mentors and coaches staff within region on product and sales processes for mortgage lending. Maintains knowledge of all products offered and has a comprehensive understanding of the benefits and solutions provided by each product. Attend and participate in company meetings and training programs. Maintains activities and participation in community and/or social organizations. Serves as an ambassador for the bank.

Requirements

Proven customer service and relationship building skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Extremely attentive to detail and customer follow up.
Highly motivated, disciplined, and self-directed but able to also operate as part of a team.
Successfully operate in a deadline driven environment.
