About The Position

The Detroit Athletic Club is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Morning Washer Attendant to join our Laundry Department. This role is responsible for ensuring the Club’s linens, towels, uniforms, and other textiles are properly washed, dried, and prepared to meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Requirements

• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial washing and drying equipment according to established procedures
• Sort, load, wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and uniforms
• Inspect laundry for damage or wear and report as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
• Monitor chemical levels and machine performance; report maintenance needs
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
• Support the Laundry Leadership and team to ensure timely completion of daily workloads
