About The Position

A Shift Leader is one who consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture and has a servant's heart. They have a passion for people and serving others, have strong character, take initiative and work with a sense of urgency at all times. Our Shift Leaders are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and our Recipe for Service. A Shift Leader's two main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively and coaching/developing team members. Shift Leaders lead by example, align with 156th & Maple's core values, and set the tone that others will follow.

Requirements

  • Strong people skills with a desire to collaborate with all Team Members
  • Strong commitment to superior customer service
  • Ability to lift and carry 25-50lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to manage Team Member behavioral and performance issues
  • Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility
  • Hair must comply with local health department requirements and be natural in color
  • Facial hair is permitted if neatly trimmed and up to 1/2'' in length
  • Tattoos must not be visible on face or neck

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, restaurant manager, restaurant assistant manager is not required but is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Running shifts effectively
  • Managing labor effectively
  • Always delivering crave-able food, in a timely manner, that meets or exceeds Chick-fil-A Quality Requirements
  • Helping maintain a LEAN production and cleanliness of the Kitchen environment
  • Coaching, evaluating, and providing accountability for all Kitchen Team Members
  • Aligning daily practices of the Kitchen with the Vision of the organization
  • Tracking food waste
  • Laser focus on food safety
  • Coaching the behaviors of all Team Members who work in the Kitchen. Those behaviors include:
  • Hustle that creates surprisingly fast Speed of Service
  • Attention to detail that ensures preparation and production procedures are followed
  • Execution of systems that ensure a refreshingly clean environment- Daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning
  • Maintaining a work environment that ensures and promotes food safety
  • Vigilant attention to the organization and appearance of the Kitchen
