About The Position

Are you passionate about providing exceptional service in a fast-paced, friendly environment? Hilton Garden Inn Morgantown is looking for a Morning Server to join our team! As a morning shift (5:30am - 1:00pm) server, you’ll be the face of our hotel’s food and beverage experience, providing friendly, efficient, and professional service to our guests. You’ll ensure every guest leaves with a positive impression, enjoying delicious meals and top-notch service. to take and deliver orders. You’ll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our members’ and guests' experiences. Food Server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus, taking orders for and serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you! Compensation : $10.00 per hour, total Hourly Compensation averages + Gratuities, also based on experience.

Requirements

  • Previous restaurant experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of state liquor laws and responsible alcohol service.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Availability to work 5:30am -1:00pm

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and assist with seating as needed.
  • Present menus and daily specials; answer questions about food and beverages.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and coordinate with the kitchen and bar.
  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items, wines, and beverages.
  • Handle payments and operate cash registers accurately.
  • Monitor guests during meals to ensure all needs are met.
  • Suggest desserts and deliver them promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization at all times.
  • Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and escalate when necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
