About The Position

Kneaders Bakery and Cafe (Riverwoods) is currently hiring a Grill Cook for the morning shift from 6am to 2pm. The Kneaders brand is built on delighting our guests in a way that creates loyalty by offering fresh, high-quality food, providing comfort to guests, and building meaningful relationships with our guests, community, employees, vendors, and suppliers. We are looking for individuals who can help provide fresh food, promote a comfortable environment, and enhance caring relationships to join our team. Kneaders is looking for a highly motivated grill cook with a desire to learn and grow who can help us build the brand, develop others, and deliver results. Requirements

• Must be able to work fast and accurately while working with a team
• Must be hardworking, self-motivated, dependable, and fun to work with
• Must be able to work with a sense of urgency
• Must be organized and meticulous, with a heart for hospitality and a mind to maintain an atmosphere of positive, anticipatory thinking
• Ability to smile throughout shift and have a great attitude when arriving at work
• Must be an approachable, welcoming, people person who is a team player, and must be teachable
• Unafraid to ask questions and bring up concerns to management team
• Some food/restaurant experience is preferred, but not required
• Must be able to work during holiday season
• Willing to be flexible with work schedule if needed

Responsibilities

• Prepare all breakfast orders neatly and 100% accurately while displaying a great sense of urgency
• Assist with food preparation neatly, accurately and in a timely manner
• Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items
• Exhibit a cheerful and helpful attitude
• Clean as directed while being certain that all cleaning responsibilities are fulfilled
• Understand and follow proper food, serving food, and clean up procedures
• Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standard
