About The Position

Sunrise Retirement is seeking an outgoing and friendly Part-time Dietary Server for our nursing neighborhoods. The position requires working hours from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, 2 days a week, plus every other weekend.

Requirements

• Able to follow oral and written directions.
• Able to work alone and maintain a steady work pace to produce an adequate supply of clean kitchen utensils and dishes.
• Able to scrape soiled dishes, place the dishes into the dish machine, and supervise the travel of dishes through the dish machine.
• Able to operate an automated dish washing solution dispensing system.
• Able to operate an automatic coffee machine.
• Able to sort clean dishes and transport them to the storage area.
• Able to clean the work area.
• Able to attend in-service training programs for food service employees.
• Able to observe infection control procedures related to the Dietary Department and follow the facility safety program.
• Able to follow Resident's Rights policies at all times.
• Able to come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
• Able to accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
• Able to perform other related duties as directed by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Remove and clean dishes after each meal.
• Ensure all operations of the dishwasher are functioning properly.
• Ensure all dishes, silverware, cups, etc. are clean and sterile.
• Set up and clear tables.
• Serve drinks and food to residents.
• Clean dining room floors.
• Clean work areas for the next shift.
• Perform some light cooking.
