About The Position

SYNERGY HomeCare of Santa Clarita is looking to hire Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to serve as compassionate Home Care Aides (HCA)!

Requirements

• Current Home Care Aide (HCA) Registration with the State of California (Or ability to obtain)
• Proof of current TB testing (Or ability to obtain)
• Clear a criminal background check (National and required by state & county)
• Clear E-Verify
• Professional and Personal Reference Check
• Must be physically able to perform the functions of this position
• Have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of sufficient automobile insurance (when applicable)

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in caregiving, senior care, or related fields is a plus
• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and experience working with individuals requiring specialized care (e.g., geriatrics)
• Familiarity with hospice care practices is considered a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Compassion and empathy towards others
• Ability to work independently while following instructions accurately
• Strong organizational abilities with keen attention to detail
• Patience and understanding when catering to individuals with diverse needs
• Capacity to adapt calmly and effectively to changing situations

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Support clients with mobility challenges and provide assistance with lifting when required
• Offer companionship, emotional support, and engage in meaningful interactions
• Ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients
• Assist in meeting nutritional needs by providing meal planning, preparation, and grocery shopping as needed by the client
• Provide clients medication reminders
• Support clients on walks and/or light exercises
• Monitor and promptly report any changes in clients' conditions or behaviors
