About The Position

Impact Statement: I create the consistency and structure that sets the tone for each student’s day. I lead by example, ensuring morning routines are calm, safe, and aligned with treatment goals. I guide staff in upholding expectations, provide support across homes, and ensure clear communication that carries throughout the day. My leadership ensures students start their day with trust, stability, and readiness to grow. Primary Responsibilities and Duties: Leadership & Staff Development Coach, mentor, and support Teen LIFE Coaches in developing their professional skills and therapeutic approaches. Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and hold staff accountable to their responsibilities and alignment with the Teaching-Family Model. Facilitate ongoing training, team meetings, and individual check-ins to strengthen communication, cohesion, and growth. Promote a positive, purpose-driven team culture rooted in trust, collaboration, and accountability. Monitor attendance, punctuality, and professionalism of morning staff and ensure documentation is completed in real time. Manage staff raises based on longevity. Morning Structure & Team Accountability Ensure the home is prepared, calm, and structured as students begin their day. Maintain presence across homes, provide coaching and redirection as needed, and reinforce expectations. Guide staff in following morning protocols related to hygiene, medications, meals, chores, and transportation. Youth Support & Environment Oversight Promote a calm, safe, and emotionally regulated start to the day for all students. Provide behavioral support, engage in teaching moments, and ensure treatment recommendations are followed. Communicate student concerns, incidents, or progress to the appropriate treatment team members. Operational & Financial Accountability Facilitate handoffs between overnight-morning staff, and morning-school staff, by ensuring communication is clear, complete, and documented. Scheduling the team and supporting team members in finding coverage. Coverage needs and meeting ratios in each home is the morning team supervisors responsibility ultimately. Ensure all supplies, equipment, and household needs are addressed or reported. Maintain clear expectations around home cleanliness and hold each team member accountable. Success Outcomes: Students are woken with unconditional positive regard and supported in building confidence from the moment they wake up, setting a tone of trust, warmth, and safety. Mornings become an opportunity for students to practice and strengthen independence through guided self-care routines, promoting dignity and capability. Staff arrive ready to lead with consistency, empathy, and clarity, ensuring routines are calm, transitions are smooth, and students feel emotionally regulated. Morning practices are aligned across all homes, resulting in predictable, student-centered rhythms that support therapeutic goals. The Morning Supervisor ensures information flows clearly and timely between shifts and departments, creating a seamless experience for both students and staff throughout the day.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead by example and give clear, respectful feedback
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Emotional intelligence and capacity to stay calm and solution-focused under pressure
  • Familiarity with the Teaching-Family Model and commitment to youth development
  • Proficient in documentation and scheduling tools (e.g., Google Suite, CRM/HRIS systems)
  • Confidence in decision-making and conflict resolution
  • Physical ability to perform CPR/ first aid and restraint when needed.
  • Ability to supervise multiple teams across homes and support smooth transitions
  • Pass Background Check with a Residential Treatment level of clearance at all times (Background Check provided upon hire)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Provide a certified copy of driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles and be eligible for agency insurance
  • Ability to respond to the team and scheduling team as needed.
