About The Position

The position requires flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. The role ensures compliance with all daily operational procedures set by the Food and Beverage Department and maintains food and beverage safety and quality according to hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications. Effective communication with the General Manager, other Department Managers, Supervisors, and Staff is essential. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public.
  • Minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
  • ServSafe and/or food safety training.
  • Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Take food and beverage orders, retrieve, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently.
  • Collect payments.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.
