About The Position

The Asleep Overnight Direct Support Professional 2 at Bridgewell provides essential support and assistance to individuals with developmental and psychiatric disabilities during overnight hours in Level 2 residential programs. This role involves helping individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their safety, and maintaining compliance with various regulatory standards. Staff will receive specialized training to address the unique needs of individuals, including behavioral supports and medical care, while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associates or DSP Certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities who have significant medical and/or behavioral needs.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for clear documentation.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and one year of driving experience.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft products and web-based applications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and assist individuals with all activities of daily living during the morning routine.
  • Assist individuals during the overnight shift who may wake up or have needs requiring assistance.
  • Deliver services according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.
  • Maintain daily and monthly progress notes, shift checklists, and other program documentation according to regulatory standards.
  • Complete household cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Ensure the safety of all individuals while on shift, including implementing emergency policies as needed.
  • Administer medications according to MAP regulations.
  • Maintain core training certifications including CPR/FA, OSHA, CPI, PABC, and MAP if applicable.
  • Transport individuals as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
