About The Position

Looking for a great opportunity to manage your own patients? Become a Dermatology Moonlighter with Allina Health! Allina is offering Dermatology residents the opportunity to moonlight the 2nd Saturday of every month from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Allina Health Woodbury Clinic location. We are offering $225/hour and a supervising Dermatologist for open collaboration. Minnesota license is required to Moonlight and reimbursement for this process is provided by Allina Health. Key Position Details: The position is intended for 2nd or 3rd Year Residents in a Dermatology Medical Residency Program. Clinic would be on Saturday once per month (based out of the Bandana Square or Woodbury Clinic). Residents will be supported by an attending dermatologist for each clinic date.

Requirements

  • Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or foreign equivalent from an approved school of medicine required
  • Currently in a Dermatology residency program and currently board eligible in Dermatology
  • ACLS/BLS Tier 3 - Multisource required depending on business unit upon hire and PALS - Pediatric Advance Life Support - Multisource required depending on business unit upon hire and NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation - Multisource required depending on business unit upon hire
  • Minnesota State Medical Residency Permit which is current and unrestricted, with eligibility for full, unrestricted licensure in MN upon hire required
  • Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire required and Prescription Monitoring Program upon hire required and National Provider Identifier upon hire required

Responsibilities

  • Direct Patient Care. In a resident capacity and within practice restrictions, provides direct patient care for clinical patients for designated specialty.
  • Reviews patient's medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
  • Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care.
  • Quality. Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or work flows
  • Other duties as assigned.
