About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Moon to Mars Exploration and Operations Integration Engineer - REMOTE. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Moon to Mars Program by integrating operations-oriented activities with strategic and architectural efforts. You will be responsible for coordinating collaboration across Artemis, addressing various operational matters in inflight, orbital, and surface operations. This is a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the development of human spaceflight architectures and mission plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, science, or another related STEM discipline
  • 10 or more years of increasingly responsible professional engineering/scientific experience in a systems engineering and program lifecycle environment
  • Vast experience in human exploration architecture, integration and mission operations
  • Experience in mission formulation, planning, and execution
  • Knowledge of the NASA program life cycle and associated milestone reviews
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to establish effective working relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Proven expertise working across diverse teams and multiple engineering disciplines
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship

Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and integrate exploration operations scenarios for inflight and surface operations
  • Serve as a key integrator for Exploration Operations across Artemis topics
  • Support and lead formulation of commercial transportation system activities
  • Define operational technical requirements for human missions
  • Perform assessments and readiness evaluations
  • Collaborate with NASA mission architects/designers and program experts across government and industry
  • Review contractor deliverables and NASA requirements to ensure compliance and system effectiveness
  • Contribute to standards development and documentation supporting exploration operations
  • Support facility and infrastructure related topics and planning
  • Participate in technical, safety, and integration of working groups
  • Plan, manage, and report on analyses, studies, and tests of components and systems
  • Develop technical and progress reports to support internal teams and external partners
  • Lead and support technical interchange meetings, hardware reviews, and key design milestones
  • Prepare clear, actionable reports and presentations for program offices and NASA leadership
  • Act as a representative in technical reviews, conferences, and workshops with NASA and international stakeholders
