The Moody College Honors Program Coordinator will work under the direction of the Senior Associate Dean and Director of Operations and Administration to ensure that the Moody College scholarship program priorities are achieved. This role involves assisting in identifying available honors scholarship support, managing the online scholarship application system, and ensuring compliance with endowment criteria. The coordinator will also provide support to the Moody College Honors Program, facilitating application reviews, course planning, and monitoring student progress. The position requires occasional travel and extended work hours.

  • Ensure that Moody College scholarship program priorities are achieved.
  • Assist in identifying available honors scholarship support and assigning scholarships to students.
  • Manage online scholarship application and records system.
  • Communicate scholarship process results and create/send scholarship decisions.
  • Consult with the Moody College Development Office on endowment compliance.
  • Maintain records of annual and multi-year scholarship offers.
  • Facilitate thank-you letter/video collection process.
  • Monitor endowment balances for optimal usage of funds.
  • Process scholarship payment documents.
  • Coordinate planning and support for the Moody College Honors Program activities.
  • Facilitate freshman and sophomore honors application review and admission processes.
  • Assist in course planning and liaise with course scheduler.
  • Track student progress and assist in managing student petitions.
  • Verify that graduating students meet program criteria.
  • Monitor program email and respond to inquiries.
  • Schedule and attend honors committee meetings.
  • Liaise with events team and admissions staff for program events.
  • Update the Moody College Honors Program website using Drupal tools.
  • Assist in implementing new initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Three years of experience coordinating or administering a program.
  • Experience performing complex administrative functions.
  • Demonstrated accuracy, initiative, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with staff, students, and the public.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience working with budgets, expenses, or financial tracking.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement.
  • Experience with UT applications such as VIP, Canvas, EASI, Advisors Toolkit or Slate.
  • Knowledge of UT Austin or Moody College academic policies and procedures.
  • Experience giving presentations to various audiences.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using the Drupal kit to create and edit web content.
  • Experience with UT policy and procedures relating to undergraduate student aid and scholarships.
