About The Position
Work as a part-time summer Intern to support the Monument Marathon, a major tourism event, for Scotts Bluff County in the panhandle of Nebraska. Work up to 20 hours per week between May 19, 2025, and August 8, 2025 (these dates are flexible). The Monument Marathon is a signature tourism event in Scotts Bluff County, now in its 14th year, featuring full and half marathons, a 5K, and a 3-leg half marathon relay. The event draws runners from around the country and world, with 65-75% of participants being new each year, making marketing vital for its success. Proceeds from the event support students at Western Nebraska Community College, having raised over $636,000 to date. The county is home to beautiful landscapes, outdoor activities, and multiple summer events.
