About The Position

Every classroom is a community with a team of educators collaborating to provide an authentic experience to the children. The Assistant Teacher supports the Montessori Guide or Lead Teacher in all classroom areas.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• Experience in a licensed child care center, Montessori school, or related field.
• Completed a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Met state requirements for education; additional school requirements may apply.

Nice To Haves

• Montessori training, certification, or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all licensing guidelines, school, and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
• Working with a Montessori Guide or Lead Teacher, facilitate fun and interactive learning experiences in an authentic Montessori classroom.
• Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan activities for children, as well as effectively communicate with families under the guidance of your lead teacher/guide.
• Complete extensive training that provides insight on child care and development topics.
