About The Position

Join Discovery, a vibrant, high-quality Montessori community for children aged 12 weeks to 6 years. The Opportunity. We are conducting a search for several full-time Classroom Assistants to support one of our new infant and toddler communities (ages 18 mos. - 3 years) on track tom open this spring! Under the direction of the Lead Guide, you will help children fulfill their developmental potential in an authentically prepared, inspiring Montessori environment. This position is Monday - Friday with start times ranging from 8:00am - 9:30am and end times ranging from 5:00pm - 6:30pm. Montessori experience is not required, but we welcome educators with an appreciation for and openness to learning more about the method. We provide training and resources to our new staff members. Requirements

• Have earned at least 12 college-level early childhood education credits (at least 3 of the 12 credits must be in infant/toddler care and development)
• Enjoy working with young children
• Are warm, joyful, and professional
• Have valid CPR and first aid certification (or willingness to become CPR and first aid-certified before you begin employment)
• Have negative TB test results within the last 12 months (or willingness to take a TB test which show negative results before your first day of employment)
• Are a US citizen or green card holder

Nice To Haves

• Have experience working in high-quality preschools, particularly authentic Montessori preschools
• Speak other languages
• Have interests that you enjoy sharing with children such as music, art, science, gardening, and movement
