About The Position

Lancaster Metal Manufacturing is a sheet metal shop and subsidiary of U.S. Boiler Company. Our metal is used to create residential and commercial heating products that have been designed, engineered, and manufactured domestically. Headquartered in Lancaster, PA, our facilities employ nearly 300 people from our community. Every product that leaves our factory has been designed, engineered, and produced for exclusive use in North America. U.S. Boiler Company is a subsidiary of Burnham Holdings, Inc. We are seeking a Monoblock Cutter and Assembler to join our team! This position cuts insulation to correct size and either installs on parts, or properly stacks in containers for shipment or storage.  This is a full-time, union-hourly position located in Lancaster, PA. Hours are Monday-Friday, 6 AM – 2:30 PM, Overtime and Saturdays as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience with hand, power, and measuring tools a plus!

Responsibilities

• Uses powered hand truck to move material to processing area, or to place in storage area.
• Uses ban saw to cut to required sizes.
• Makes set ups on band saw by using stops or other devices that may be required to obtain desired configuration.
• Installs insulation or parts on pre-manufactured items by various methods, mainly by gluing or push pins.
• Prepares finished goods for shipment or storage.  Each container must be marked with proper counts, sizes or other required information.
• Refers unusual problems to supervisor.
• Maintains and submits record of materials used.
• Do required quality checks.
• Use and understand measuring devices as required.
• Required to fill out work orders and job card correctly.
• Work station must be kept clean and organized.
• Performs other work as directed commensurate with this or lesser rated labor grades.
