About The Position

Continuously observe and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry monitoring systems. Accurately identify and report rhythm changes, abnormalities, and life-threatening arrhythmias to nursing staff and physicians. Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as needed, ensuring proper electrode placement and signal quality. Enter, verify, and update monitoring orders in the electronic medical record system. Retrieve and review laboratory results and promptly communicate critical values to the charge nurse. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Ensure proper operation, cleaning, and maintenance of cardiac monitoring and related medical equipment. Communicate clearly and professionally with the healthcare team to support patient safety and care continuity.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Monitor Technician or in cardiac monitoring
  • Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
  • EKG Certification required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced clinical environments
