Essential Job Duties: Promotes high quality patient monitoring by engaging in observation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the telemetry equipment and patient-specific alarm parameters. Contributes to a high performance work environment by using effective communication to the healthcare team utilizing the appropriate method for the appropriate situation. Provides for a clean and safe work environment. Assists with orientation of personnel in the operation of the monitoring system and telemetry units to ensure specific knowledge and skills needed to monitor in a safe manner. Logs/forms are kept accurate and report is given for a safe hand-off of events of previous shift and anticipation of events for the upcoming shift.
