Monitor Technician - Telemetry/Observation Unit (Tele/Obs) 30-bed unit specializing in cardiac, medical, and surgical patients Individualized, comprehensive orientation program. Basic Rhythm course, ACLS certification, and NIHSS course provided. Mentorship program after orientation Part time (48 hours biweekly) Shift: 7am-7pm and 7pm – 7am (12-hour day/night rotation) Every third weekend Eligible for weekend differential Position Function: The Monitor Technician monitors patients’ EKG waveforms, rhythms, and vital signs in a centralized monitoring station. The Monitor Technician provides the nurses and physicians with precise analysis of cardiac rhythms through oral communication and written documentation. The Monitor Technician detects abnormal pattern variances and notifies the primary RN immediately.
