About The Position

As a Monitor technician, your work is vital with monitoring patients' heart performance and checking for any abnormalities, such as irregular heartbeats, arrhythmias, and cardiac arrest. Your position as a monitor tech plays an important role in the care of patients and healthcare providers by consistently interpreting test results and reporting those results to the healthcare personnel team. Requirements

• Current BCLS certification.
• Successful completion of arrhythmia interpretation class or demonstrated proficiency through testing.
• Basic medical terminology class.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Routinely monitor patients and review patient charts.
• Send charts to medical records after discharge.
• Have daily interaction with patients and other healthcare personnel.
• Transcribe physician orders 100% of the time.
• Alert nursing to STAT and NOW orders.
