About The Position

Are you looking for a career as a Monitor Tech? Look no further than Alton Memorial Hospital! As a Monitor Tech in at Alton Memorial Hospital, you play a crucial role in the delivery of high-quality patient care.
This position is in our 32-bed Medical Telemetry Unit at Alton Memorial Hospital. The Monitor Tech will also take on Unit Secretary roles, such as answering the phone and call lights, as well as paging staff to complete tasks.

The Medical Care Unit (MCU) is a 34 Private Room floor located on the 3rd floor of the New Duncan Wing. General medical care includes, but is not limited to, the following disorders: Gastrointestinal, Respiratory, Renal, Neurological, Dermatologic infecti

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Assists with long term monitoring vital to patient care in the observation of patients with cardiac arrhythmia, suspected arrhythmia, drug intervention per floor with need for observation, and potential of life threatening cardiac events. Initiates first response and responders to at risk patients.
• Supports and demonstrates the continuous improvements of quality and service.
• Observes, reports, and documents patient‘s cardiac rhythm.
• Ensures that cardiac monitoring equipment is functioning appropriately.
