The Monitor Technician observes the cardiac rhythm of patients in the assigned unit, assesses patients' status and reports the patient's cardiac rhythm to medical/nursing staff. This position requires population specific competencies. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.
