About The Position
Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse and / or Department Manager, the Monitor Tech. monitors all patients on Telemetry. Projects a good public image. Functions as a member of the health team in the role of department receptionist, insofar as s/he answers telephones and interacts with staff and physicians. Is a self-motivating individual, and maintains a courteous and professional attitude.
Requirements
- Minimum of one 1 year prior Monitor tech. experience in a health care setting preferred.
- Thorough computer skills; proper telephone and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical terminology course preferred.
- Basic dysrhythmia class preferred.
- Computer education preferred
- Current BLS certification.
- CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
