About The Position

Job Summary:
Continuous surveillance of EKG on multiple central station monitors. Monitors heart rhythms of patients in special care units using telemetry equipment. Reports any changes in EKG rate or rhythm monitoring to clinical nurse.

RN / Nurse Manager

None

Requirements

• Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation program and passing an in-depth arrhythmia-specific test using caliper measurements and evaluation of rhythm changes over time using full disclosure.
• Minimum: No previous experience is necessary.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) to two (2) years of job-related experience; must be able to recognize, evaluate, and interpret heart rhythm changes and perform the duties of a unit secretary.
• Computer skills/training required.
