Requirements

• High school education or GED equivalent.
• Completion of an approved nursing assistant or unit secretary course; or currently attending an approved Nursing program (RN, LPN).
• Previous experience as Unit Secretary preferred.
• Rhythm Identification Course within 90 days of hire.
• Strip Identification Test within 30 days of hire.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Identify cardiac rhythms and notify the nurse of changes in rhythm.
• Watch a total of 41 rhythm channels in a central area.
• Facilitate nursing unit operations under the direction of the RN.
• Perform clerical and specific patient care activities.
• Demonstrate Service Excellence at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
