About The Position

The Tower Monitor Tech provides clerical and technical support for the nursing staff of 7 Tower, a Medical/Surgical/Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit that delivers acute nursing care. Responsibilities include maintaining patient records, transcription, ordering and storing supplies, and providing excellent customer service. Technical support involves arrhythmia detection and operating cardiac monitoring equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Basic Arrhythmia Course Registration/Certification/Licensure (Act 33/73 Clearances).
• Minimum experience: None.
• Preferred experience: Recent experience in a related area or related educational background, previous experience working as a unit secretary/monitor tech.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient records and perform written and computer transcription.
• Order and store supplies for the unit.
• Provide excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Detect arrhythmias and operate cardiac monitoring equipment.
