About The Position

Assists the driver with student management aboard the school bus; monitors student conduct and behavior; and serves as bus monitor to ensure student safety. What you will do Assists with pre-trip and post trip inspections according to guidelines. Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspection checking for students that might remain on board. Monitors student behavior and conduct while aboard the school bus. Assists driver with student load management. Maintains accurate and up-to-date records and route descriptions while adhering to safe school bus operation as required. Monitors childrens behavior and disciplines according to District rules and guidelines as needed; meets with principals, parents, and children to resolve behavior problems. Assists driver with student disciplinary forms as needed. Complies with Federal Department of Transportation guidelines and Board of Education policies for CDL (Commercial Driver License) holders (position does not require CDL).

Requirements

• High School Diploma graduate or equivalent Required
• 1-3 years Equivalent or directly related experience Required
• DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Required
