A successful candidate will thrive in a team environment, proactively anticipate, and manage challenges, be a self-starter with strong abilities to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize appropriately. Day-to-day responsibilities may include managing schedules and meetings, taking meeting minutes, identifying, and prioritizing items for attention, documentation management, and program activity coordination. Project 1 – Triennial Hospital Community Health Needs Assessment This engagement is an upcoming project building on LPHI’s significant experience helping non-profit hospitals comply with the statutory requirement to assess the health needs of their communities. This assessment will use a mixed methods strategy to identify health assets and priorities. The intern will assist in primary data collection, community engagement, and analysis. The experience the intern will acquire on this project will be readily applicable to similar health needs assessments undertaken by jurisdictions nationwide including cities and states. Project 2 – Program Evaluation for a National Nonprofit This engagement is currently underway with IRB approval already secured. There are two active sites at primary schools. It is anticipated that data collection will be underway during the intern’s time at LPHI. The intern will assist with data entry, data quality, preliminary analysis and reporting which may include data visualizations. Depending on the timeline, there may be an opportunity for the intern to contribute to the IRB application for a new site at a third primary school.
