About The Position

This position assists the Casino Manager with daily casino operations, including directing and training employees to ensure proper standards and guest satisfaction. The role involves maintaining the operating budget, enforcing legal obligations, and ensuring casino operations comply with local gaming regulations. It also supports the scheduling, opening, and closing of table games, slot areas, and cashier operations, and coordinates with Surveillance for security. The role is accountable for maintaining the integrity of gaming activity and equipment, enforcing credit play policies, and liaising with the Lead Slot Technician for game adjustments and repairs. The position also involves analyzing information, evaluating results, compiling data, and observing employees to provide feedback. It focuses on achieving performance and budget goals, submitting timely reports, accurately documenting profits and losses, and maintaining a strong accounting and operational control environment. A key aspect is ensuring exceptional customer service by empowering employees, emphasizing guest satisfaction, handling complaints, and interacting with gaming customers at an executive level. The role also provides guidance on casino disputes and assists in other casino operations as needed, participating in department-wide projects and goals. It requires strong communication, personal integrity, effective listening, self-confidence, energy, enthusiasm, conflict management, timely information sharing, strong organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities. The role also ensures cleanliness standards and records progressive readings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in Casino Administration or related professional area.
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university; 1 year experience in Casino Administration or related professional area.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Casino Manager in responsibilities related to daily casino operations.
  • Support directing and training employees to serve guests and ensure proper standards are followed.
  • Ensure guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.
  • Enforce all legal obligations, professionally and consistently.
  • Assist with enforcing policies and procedures to ensure casino operations in accordance with local gaming regulations.
  • Support the scheduling, opening and closing of all table games, slot area and cashier operations.
  • Assist with ensuring the integrity of all gaming activity and equipment in casino.
  • Coordinate with Surveillance regarding the overall security of gaming and non gaming areas.
  • Assist with enforcing established credit play policy on assigned shift, to include extension of credit to qualified customers within the established guidelines.
  • Liaise with Lead Slot Technician on adjustments and repairs of games.
  • Coordinate and implement casino work and projects as assigned.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Compile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit, or verify information or data.
  • Observe casino employees and provide feedback.
  • Achieve and exceed goals including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
  • Submit reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines.
  • Ensure profits and losses are documented accurately.
  • Maintain a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets.
  • Promote high visibility of casino in local market areas.
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service.
  • Emphasize guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Set a positive example for guest relations.
  • Promote positive customer relations.
  • Monitor and handle guest complaints by following the instant pacification procedures.
  • Interact at the executive level with gaming customers, setting an example for the staff in the areas of courtesy and service.
  • Provide guidance and professionalism on all disputes that may arise in the casino.
  • Assist in other casino operations when needed.
  • Participate in department wide projects and goals.
  • Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
