Location Omaha, NE Requisition Number: Staff_13976 Department Pathology, Microbiology & Immunology 50000521 Business Unit College of Medicine Reg-Temp Full-Time Regular Work Schedule Monday-Friday; 8:00AM - 5:00PM; with some evening/weekend work due to clinical testing Remote/Telecommuting No remote/telecommuting opportunity Position Summary Molecular Laboratory Technologist to implement Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) compliant standard operating procedures, tests and methods in the Nebraska Public Health Laboratory (NPHL). Performs testing and analysis of clinical specimens, utilizing diagnostic methods, e.g. PCR and WGS in molecular microbiology. Responsible for the proper operation of equipment and resources in relationship to testing platforms utilized and for the collection, analysis, review and reporting of findings.
