About The Position

This position will be scheduled on one of the following shifts: Thursday - Monday 10:30am - 7pm or Thursday - Monday 2pm - 10:30pm. The role involves conducting high complexity molecular tests in the treatment and diagnosis of genetic diseases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or medical technology
• 2+ years of relevant experience

Nice To Haves

• MB(ASCP) or MT(ASCP) certification

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical testing in compliance with CAP, NY, CLIA regulations
• Troubleshoots assay performance
• Operates and maintains the laboratory equipment, maintains the lab following 5S standards
• Performs QC and informs manager/supervisor immediately if systems deviate from the laboratory's established specification
• Maintains laboratory stock levels and restocking supplies
• Trains new employees as needed
• Performs other duties as required
• Adheres to the Code of Conduct as outlined in the Baylor Genetics' Compliance Program
