About The Position

This position is for a Molding Tech - Mold Hanger. The role involves performing machine start-ups, shutdowns, color changes, changeovers, and necessary adjustments to ensure processes are in control at all times. Daily machine inspections and re-starting molding machines after first-shot approval are also key. The tech will be responsible for cleaning mold cavities, hanging mold tools, and troubleshooting machines and peripheral equipment. Data entry for production and quality paperwork is required, along with assisting Molding CPO and PETs. All activities must be performed safely, including the use of LOTO as required by company policy. Safety inspections of equipment and tooling are required prior to use, ensuring safe operation before returning equipment to production. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor or manager. The role also promotes plant goals such as Safety/Housekeeping, Quality, GMP, and ISO. Responsibilities

  • Perform machine start-ups, shutdowns, color changes, changeovers and necessary adjustments to insure processes are in control at all times
  • Perform daily machine inspections
  • Re-start Molding machines after first-shot approval
  • Clean mold cavities
  • Hang mold tools
  • Troubleshoot the machines and peripheral equipment as needed
  • Enter data onto production and quality paperwork
  • Assist Molding CPO and PETs as needed
  • Perform all activities safely, including the use of LOTO as required by company policy
  • Conduct safety inspections of equipment and tooling prior to use
  • Within the confines of the job, ensure the safe operation of all equipment prior to turning it back over to running production
  • Promote plant goals such as Safety/Housekeeping, Quality, GMP, and ISO
