This position involves performing a combination of material handling activities, primarily operating a forklift for material movement, loading/unloading, sorting, and storing materials and products. The technician will be responsible for picking, issuing, counting, and labeling raw materials and work in process (WIP) to production lines and returning them to stock. Key aspects include inspecting documentation for conformity, operating a computer, and providing backup for related jobs. The role requires maintaining compliance training, performing inventory cycle counts, ensuring accurate data entries, controlling material damage, and identifying/reconciling inventory discrepancies. The individual will also assist support groups in resolving material issues, maintain safe conveyance of materials and equipment, and proactively manage inventory levels. Communication with production lines and other support groups is essential to meet material needs and prevent operational downtime. The role operates within a team environment, requiring problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and adaptability to change. Adherence to cGMP guidelines, SOPs, and plant rules/policies is mandatory.
