Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Intermediate problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Nice To Haves

• Three years Mold Set-Up Tech experience or training and experience in mold setting and mold repairs.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties and essential job functions of the Material Handler – Molding position.
• Performs basic mold set-up without supervision.
• Removes and sets molds according to mold change schedule assuring molds are secure, water is correct, ejector are setup, and all auxiliary equipment such as circulators, hot runner controls, and air blasts are in place.
• Assures mold is correct style and change over if needed.
• Starts up and shuts down mold press.
• Completes process audits.
• Processes within ranges listed on set-up sheets.
• Cleans molds as needed to maintain part quality for production.
• Communicates with other Mold Set-Up Technicians during shift and at shift change.
• Acts as trainer for Material Handler - Molding.
• Safely operates overhead hoist.
