About The Position

Lead the Line. Elevate the Team. You arrive at 2:55 PM in Battle Creek, MI, greet the crew, and kick off a quick safety huddle. By 3:05 PM, the lines are humming. You’re coaching new associates on standard work, checking the first-off parts against specs, and setting the pace for a smooth, productive second shift. Role Snapshot Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:00PM–11:00PM Reports to: Molding Supervisor Compensation: $23.16/hour (based on experience) + $2.00/hour shift premium Location: Battle Creek, MI A Day in the Life From first piece to last, you set the standard. You walk the floor ensuring all safety guidelines are followed, then rotate through the cells to verify part quality against standards and reinforce quality discipline. You coach and orient new production associates, provide on-the-job training, and keep documentation current. When a defect pops up, you rally the team to troubleshoot quickly, isolate the root cause, and get the process back on target. As changeovers approach, you plan the work, perform required changeover steps, and complete preventative maintenance so the next run starts right. You stay current on new parts and machine innovations, help the team recognize different material types, and ensure Kanban signals are followed so materials flow correctly. Throughout the shift, you complete department paperwork, track training, and keep the work area audit-ready using 5S. Requirements

  • Commitment to working safely and following all safety rules and regulations
  • High School Diploma or GED, plus at least 2 years of manufacturing experience
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to manage tasks and small projects on time
  • Proficiency Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
  • Basic Computer Skills

Responsibilities
