Molding Operator - 2nd Shift

We are recognized as a leading manufacturer of brushed and brushless DC motors, stepper motor based linear actuators, precision Acme lead screw and anti-backlash nut assemblies, linear rail and guide systems, gearmotors, drives and complete custom automation sub-systems. We are seeking to add a motivated Molding Operator to our team, on 1st shift. The Molding Operator/Inspector is responsible for producing machined parts by operating a molding machine. This position will also inspect the product produced and determine if it is acceptable and meets quality specifications.

Requirements

High school degree or GED
1-3 years of manufacturing experience and/or training
Strong fine motor skills
Reasonable dexterity in hands to manipulate small parts
Ability to work well within a team or independently and a demonstrated initiative to drive for results

Nice To Haves

Ability to read blueprints and measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers is preferred

Responsibilities

Working from drawings, blueprints, sketches, verbal or written instructions, work orders, and process sheets.
Operating injection molding machines.
Inspecting parts for surface defects and flaws.
Operating the blending machine to combine raw pellets.
Positioning and securing threaded cores and/or overmolds into mold.
Reporting defective materials, scrap, quality problems, or any other unusual condition or circumstance to technician and/or supervisor.
