The Operators main function is to produce quality products in a timely manner. Operators are required to have good verbal and written communication skills. Some Operators may work in high performance team environment while others work independently to obtain company goal. Operators are expected to follow one-piece flow except at designated work centers. They are also required to read and follow standard work. Periodically Operators are required to attend additional job training to ensure continuous improvement. Material Handler will work with Team Leader and Group Leader to attain daily schedule requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – includes the following: -Proactive approach to promote and support safe working environment, required to complete Hazardous Observation form as needed, promotely report all safety concerns. -Responsible for stocking & maintaining the specified raw material(s) for each injection molding machine accurately. -Required to support production scheduling with staging of required materials for use. -Responsible for cleaning, setting up and maintaining dryers, granulators, and material distribution system machinery. -Ensure that the appropriate regrind material is being used whenever it is permitted and available. -Maintain a safe and contamination-free work environment through continual focus and use of good housekeeping practices. -Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues pertaining to grinders, dryers, and the material distribution system. -Maintain quality and accuracy of raw inventory. -Maintain warehouse organization. -Assist with relieving press operators for break and lunches. -Perform other duties as required.
