About The Position

KMC Controls is seeking a Molding Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation of injection molding machines and ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet our quality standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Review the job traveler to determine the required part(s) to run and verify that the mold machine is setup for the part(s). Assist in the Set-up, operation, and maintenance of mold machines and tooling. Unload, inspect, trim, sort, and pack-out injection molded products from mold machine fixtures. Perform quality inspections of molded parts per the inspection requirements. Assist other molding operators as necessary. Complete required documentation in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES). Communicate clearly with the Quality Department on any quality issues found in an inspection. Communicate with the molding setup technician about any issues that impact quality, stop production, damage to the machine, or personal safety. Work collaboratively with all departments to provide the highest quality parts and services. Comply with all safety, quality, work rules, and regulations. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Make sure print and routing ECL's are up to date.

Requirements

  • High school education; or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and part aid prints.
  • Ability to enter production using Epicor MES.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one discussion with supervisor and Co-workers
  • Ability to add and subtract multi-digit numbers.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • The ability to use small hand tools and power screw guns.
  • With training, use of soldering equipment.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
