About The Position

The purpose of the Molding Cleaner is to maintain the cleanliness of the molding floor. Responsibilities To work closely with all molding personal to maintain a clean and safe environment in the molding department. Work to maintain that the department is ready for SQF and HACCP level inspections at all times. Arrive 30 minutes before the shift to do a pre-shift walk through. Keep all trash and cardboard picked up and disposed of properly. Keep all labels and tape off floor, tables, stackers, and conveyors. Sweep and mop floors, keep parts picked up off the floor. Keep purge cleaned out and disposed of. While working in purge areas of machines, proper protective equipment will be worn at all times Use vacuum to keep oil suctioned out and emptied in the reclaim system. Assist with PM’s- (Pick up parts/trash/etc., sweep deck, clean off resin/colorant, vacuum up oil, parts/purge out of oil trays, wipe down press top to bottom including conveyors/stacker/drop area) Contain oil/water with containers with minimal use of pig mats Weekly cleaning task assigned to shift. Have all supplies (mop bucket, vacuums, etc.) empty and returned to their proper places at the end of shift. Stay after shift until all task noted on the walk through are completed. Inform Shift Supervisor of problems that need to be fixed by machine maintenance. Any other duty as directed.

Requirements

  • Able to work alone without supervision
  • Be self-starter
  • Be organized

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to bend, reach, climb up and down ladders
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend or stoop through entire shift
  • Ability to work around grease, oil and solvents without adverse reaction
