Requirements

High school diploma/GED equivalent.
Positive attitude and the ability to work with others.
Good math skills.
Good problem solving and analytical skills.
Must know how to use basic measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Knowledge of injection mold components, terminology, and their relationships to each other.
Mechanical ability.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work around grease, oils, and solvents without adverse reactions.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and squat throughout entire shift.
Mechanical knowledge, basic measuring tool experience, forklift/crane

Responsibilities

Participate in required pre-shift stretching unless exempt with medical documentation.
Follow all safety procedures and report issues to the supervisor immediately.
Work collaboratively and request assistance when needed.
Operate molding presses, set and pull molds, and perform basic troubleshooting.
Clean, inspect, and prepare molds for installation, ensuring all components, electrical, water, and air connections are correct.
Test molds (water, air, electrical) and green-tag when production-ready.
Maintain accurate mold maintenance records, including work performed and dates.
Keep the Tool Room and work areas clean and organized.
Assist with mold repairs and support other Tool Room staff.
Ensure machine settings, safety stops, and nozzles are properly configured.
Notify leadership of damaged molds, repair needs, or required supplies.
Complete required inspections and follow all CPRO/ISO, HACCP, SQF, and GDC procedures.
Shut down equipment if there is immediate risk to people or property.
Perform other duties as assigned by Tooling leadership.
