Job Summary: Setup, startup, and troubleshoot IMM, Robot, Secondary equipment, and processes. Position mentors and coaches Mold Tech Level One and Level Two. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in Thermoplastic/LSR machine set-up and completion of SMC set-up training program.
  • Knowledge of IQMS
  • Knowledge of the material handling system.
  • Knowledge of molds and ability to clean them for production run.
  • Must be mechanically inclined and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to constant changes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Nice To Haves

  • SMC Overhead Hoist certified.
  • SMC Pallet Jack certified.
  • SMC Lock Out, Tag Out certified
  • Knowledge of IQMS.
  • Knowledge of the material handling system.
  • Knowledge of molds and ability to clean them for production run.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, start, and troubleshoot a variety of injection molding processes; molds, robots, dryers, mold heat/cool and runner controllers and auxiliary equipment, interface with QA, and Tool Room as required.
  • Assure molds are inspected and properly treated (cleaning, moisture prevention) after product run; communicate mold problems and opportunities to tool room via Maintenance Repair Order (MRO).
  • Possess working knowledge of process monitoring equipment, i.e. RJG and Priamus brands
  • Troubleshoot common production problems, identify root cause and recommend or implement solution.
  • Acquire and Record Process Parameters in IQMS SPC format
  • Maintain tour ready production floor
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Regular attendance.
  • Monitor the process, start up and shut down of assigned jobs. Follow schedule and maintain machines running at documented cycle.
  • Setup of secondary equipment, to include, but not limited to end mills, hot stamping, pad printing, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
