Mold Shop Supervisor
About The Position
The Mold Shop Supervisor is accountable for supervising hourly personnel in all phases of machine and mold shop operation, along with all related design and specification activities. The Mold Shop Supervisor will: Review bottle quality and mold equipment operating data Analyze blueprints, job histories, and specifications to make recommendations relative to equipment operating adjustments and equipment design changes Conducts periodic inspections Manage department KPI’s Ensure correct use of safety equipment and that safety policies are followed The Mold Shop Supervisor should have: Experience supervising and training employees and managing cross-functional teams Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization Ability to support job changes and improvement initiatives Project management skills Strong mechanical background
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience, providing direction and support to hourly personnel.
- Computer literate – experience with SAP and/or ERP systems is preferred
- Leadership experience in a union environment is preferred.
- Prior mold shop operation experience within glass container manufacturing is highly preferred
- Background/knowledge of machining is a plus
