Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 04-06 years related experience required.
  • Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Ability to work non-standard schedule as needed, On-call hours as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises all functions within the Mold Shop to ensure safe, timely and efficient maintenance of injection molds and the production of needed machine shop produced items.
  • Schedules and prioritizes all shop functions within the areas of repair, cleaning, component making and traditional machine shop production projects.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the work done by carrying out these job responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsible for department safety, compliance to ISO Train objectives and related training.
  • Maintains the department's Tier 1 board information board with updated information.
  • Monitors/purchases shop consumables for the MSC supply cabinet.
  • Works with Mold Engineering and Maintenance on troubleshooting mold issues.
  • Leads and assists in department improvement projects.
  • Interviews prospective employees; trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints; safety and resolves problems with the close direction of the Mold Shop Manager.
