About The Position
Aegis Worldwide Mold Setter 2nd SHIFT/$18–$20/FULL TIME Greencastle, IN Overview: Aegis Worldwide is curently partnered with an automotive manufacturer. ResponsibilitiesEstablish optimize and document injection molding processes for production moldsQualify new molds using scientific injection molding techniques and root cause analysisMonitor molding operations and provide guidance training and support to mold setup technicians to maintain efficiency and production outputDevelop and maintain optimized process parameters and setup documentation for each moldPerform advanced troubleshooting on molding equipment and tooling to resolve process issuesCollaborate with mold preventive maintenance teams to ensure tooling reliability and production continuityMaintain organized storage and proper handling of molds tools equipment and suppliesServe as the technical subject matter expert for the injection molding departmentRequirementsStrong knowledge of scientific injection molding principles and troubleshooting techniquesExperience qualifying molds and optimizing molding processesAbility to develop and maintain process documentation and setup sheetsExperience working with mold maintenance teams and supporting production environmentsStrong problem solving and root cause analysis skillsAbility to work independently while managing priorities and production requirements
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of scientific injection molding principles and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience qualifying molds and optimizing molding processes
- Ability to develop and maintain process documentation and setup sheets
- Experience working with mold maintenance teams and supporting production environments
- Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to work independently while managing priorities and production requirements
Responsibilities
- Establish optimize and document injection molding processes for production molds
- Qualify new molds using scientific injection molding techniques and root cause analysis
- Monitor molding operations and provide guidance training and support to mold setup technicians to maintain efficiency and production output
- Develop and maintain optimized process parameters and setup documentation for each mold
- Perform advanced troubleshooting on molding equipment and tooling to resolve process issues
- Collaborate with mold preventive maintenance teams to ensure tooling reliability and production continuity
- Maintain organized storage and proper handling of molds tools equipment and supplies
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for the injection molding department
