Has responsibility for completing all quality checks and paperwork associated with job tasks. Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair faulty or damaged tooling. Analyze drawings, sketches, and design data of parts to determine tool specifications and tolerances. Keep presses operational. Perform preventative maintenance on molds. Restore damaged surfaces and re-machines to specifications. Reassemble, test, and adjust tooling. Perform slide changes. Check water flow on higher volume tooling. Knowledgeable in the areas of mold and tool making. Perform other repairs, corrections, and engineering changes to molds as requested by Production Tooling Manager. Teach and guide apprentices through all facets of mold making.
