About The Position

The Mold Polishing Technician is responsible for using hand held and power tools for a variety of different mediums; specifically, for polishing, sanding and supporting the manufacturing process by maintaining and preparing tooling or equipment.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language
Working knowledge of basic hand tools and shop equipment
Ability to handle complaints and resolve issues using decision making and analytical abilities
Strong organizational skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to professionally complete tasks
Willingness to learn and assist with the development of new techniques that will improve efficiency

Responsibilities

Polish /prepare mold cavities and components
Inspect parts for quality per customer requirements
Wrap and package parts for shipping
Participate in inventory counts, as needed
Use computer to locate, enter and update information (Microsoft Excel)
Operate forklift and/or pallet jack to move parts
Other duties as assigned
Assist machinists with mold component production
Materials handling and preparation for machining operations using pallet jacks and fork lifts
Monitor and assist maintaining inventory of purchased mold components, hardware, and raw material
Ensure work assignments are carried out to the highest quality ensuring customer quality and company needs are met
